For the best bargains, it is better to get up early.

Turisme of BCN offers a service to facilitate and make more accessible shopping in the city.
The Barcelona Shopping City is a program specialized for shopping in the city, mainly in the Shopping Line, the axis from Port Vell to the high part of the Av. Diagonal, where there is the highest concentration of stores, both international and traditional Catalan designs.
This program is designed for those travelling to the city for professional reasons and for leisure, it includes a portfolio with a guide of the Shopping Line and stores that accept the Visitor Card.

Card Visitor Buyer Discounts

This card is available at a wide number of the stores and can be identified by the logo of Barcelona City of Purchases.

Tax Free

Look for the symbol Europe Tax-Free Shopping in any shop for purchases over 90 euro. You can and you should request a Tax-return, Tax Added Value (IVA) of 16%, included in the sale price.
Before leaving the European Union (articles should be exported in a term of 3 months), the customs of Barcelona in the airport should confirm the purchase and seal Tax-Free, with this, the client can go by the office of the External Bank of Spain in the airport and make effective her cheque in the chosen currency.
